David Merveille has his own view of things. Slightly absurd, always delicate, full of tenderness. Letting his line run through the streets of Paris and Brussels, he tells us here about a transfigured world, which has become poetic and sweet again. Well aligned on the walls of the Collin gallery, his prints invite you to take a walk that you would undertake with the eyes of a child.
The world of Jacques Tati has inspired him to write many works: several children's books, numerous posters and a collection of illustrations for the complete Tati series published by Critérion (USA). Since 1992, he has regularly exhibited his work and organized numerous group exhibitions for the Seed Factory and Huberty & Breyne.
After advertising and children's publishing, he turned to comics in collaboration with the scriptwriter Zidrou. A co-creation that gave birth to two albums bathed in Amalfi sunshine.
