Biography

Jean-Claude Götting was born in Paris in 1963. After studying Applied Arts Duperré in Paris, he made his first work of comics fanzine with PLG, then at Futuropolis - Creve Coeur, his first comic book receives the award for best debut album at Angoulême in 1986 - before devoting himself mainly to the illustration of press and publishing, as well as painting. He was responsible for the covers of the French edition of Harry Potter, and several children's books (The tie Dad, Mom's Birthday) and collections of drawings (Faces, Duel, The Silent Symphony ... )
He exhibited his paintings at Galerie Christian Desbois in Paris in 1992 and 1994, and regularly shows her work as an illustrator at the Galerie Martine Gossieaux, the gallery BDArtist (e) in Paris, and the gallery Papiers Gras in Geneva.
2004 marks the year of his return to comics with La Malle Sanderson published by Delcourt, nominated at Angouleme, Tours and Monaco and winning at Geneva Towers. Happy Living, will appear in the same collection two years later.
Writer of his own comics, he also writes for the designer Jacques de Loustal, "Pigalle 62-27" that will appear in October 2012.
His last exhibition was held in April 2012 at the Galerie Bdartiste in Paris to celebrate the release of the book "Black" published by the gallery, and will be followed by an exhibition "Brussels" at the gallery Small Papers Brussels in June of that year.
