It all started in 1975, five years after the death of the guitarist. Record company Barclay is recruiting graphic artists to reissue Hendrix albums. Moebius, Philippe Druillet, Jean Solé, Patrick Lesueur and Patrick Leroy
Druillet, on the other hand, has to do the one for Electric Ladyland or Jimi Hendrix / 2 Electric Ladyland. On the cover we see a portrait of the guitarist in full ecstasy, communicating with his Fender Stratocaster. Note that the latter has a special feature, it looks like a spaceship. This cover is charged with the emotions which its music gets: stratospheric and powerful. The solar stars represented below flow to infinity, beyond the vinyl. We can interpret it by the timeless effects of his music. Today his musical work continues to influence the younger generation of rock.
